How To Serve Tuna Salad with Variety

People, especially kids, easily get bored with food. This is especially true if you serve them the same dish twice on the same day or even on the same week. This can be a problem especially if you are on a budget. However, if you know a trick or two, you can make any dish more appealing to the eye and taste buds in an instant. This way, you can definitely avoid leftovers and save up some cash. The key in doing this is to serve a dish with variety.

Every dish can be served with variety. It just takes some creativity and imagination. If you have some left over tuna salad on your fridge and no one dares to touch or eat it, do not fret. You can easily make it more interesting. Here is how you can serve tuna salad in four ways.

  • You can serve it as tuna salad sandwich. First, prepare the bread by toasting it lightly. The toast marks will make your sandwich more interesting and pleasing to look at. The simplest way to make this is to spread some mayonnaise or any sandwich spread on the bread and then add the tuna salad. But, you can also be more adventurous and try adding other things on your sandwich. You can add tomatoes, spinach, lettuce and even olives on your sandwich.
  • The second thing you can do is to serve the tuna salad again, but this time, add more colors to the salad. To do this, make a bed of fresh lettuce leaves on the salad platter. You can also try spinach or other green and leafy veggies, depending on your taste. Then, add the tuna salad at the center. Make sure to leave space on the edge of the platter. Line the edges of platter with thin wedges of apple and some cherry tomatoes to add more color on your salad. You can also put some chips or crackers.
  • The third way to serve and enjoy tuna salad with a twist is a quick one. You can just get a lettuce leaf and then put a small mound of tuna salad on top of it. If you want, you can add some cheese and pepper to add more taste. Wrap the free edges of the lettuce around the tuna salad mound and secure it in place with a toothpick. Make sure that the tuna salad wraps are bite size. This will surely look interesting on your dining table. It can be a good appetizer.
  • If you want to serve your tuna salad warm, you can certainly do so. Just slice small squares out of each bread, and then cut them diagonally. Then, spread some mayonnaise on it and then put tuna salad on top. Put only a thin layer of salad. Put a diagonal piece of bread on top. Make as many as you like and then put it on a cookie sheet. Put it in the oven over medium heat. Make sure to remove it from the oven before the edges of the bread turns black. You can serve this with cherry tomatoes on top. To make it more interesting, you can also serve the toasts with tomato soup.

There are many ways by which you can serve and enjoy tuna salad. But the most important thing to remember in serving it is to do it with love.
